The basic components of a Cottage Solar Power Solution are one or more solar panels, a panel mounting system, a charge controller, deep-discharge batteries and a modified-sine-wave power-inverter. Upgraded systems may include a pure sine-wave-power-inverter, a transfer switch for generator connection and remote monitoring.

Properly sizing a system will ensure performance meets expectations. Choosing energy efficient electrical equipment before system sizing will ensure the highest level of performance. Our Basic Solution may run low energy lighting, as well as small appliances. With the addition of a Pure Sine Wave Inverter, sensitive electronics can also be powered. Our Medium Solution will run appliances with higher power requirements, while providing increased reserve energy capacity. Our Complete Solution is for the highest demand applications and is capable of supplying sufficient energy in a pure sine wave form to handle all common household items. Upgrades are available for all system levels to address specific needs,
 
Basic and Medium Solutions are available as kits for do it yourself installations, or fully installed by Real Energy Alternatives. Installation of our Complete Solution is best assigned to an experienced solar installer. Integrated electrical service components (breaker panels etc.) may be included where required.

Kit pricing is for components only, with clear instructions included. Kits are designed as "plug and play" with non-reversible connectors and color coding where required. Longer lengths of wiring may be supplied, on request, for a nominal cost. Installation costs vary according to location and specific challenges encountered.
