Adam's Page
Adam was born in Ottawa, spent his childhood in St. John's, Newfoundland, and teenage years in Almonte, Ontario. Following high school he went on to George Brown College in Toronto. He graduated with Honours, as a Tool and Die Technician.
He has over 20 years experience in manufacturing, 10 years experience as a Computer Numerical Control technician, and 10 years experience in machine repair. He has worked in all kinds of metals including steel, aluminium, and gold. His greatest love is the creation of something that is both functional and beautiful - that ideally suits the purpose.
He has received an award for design excellence, of a sophisticated optical system, for an international program in which he was involved. He brings this love of the best, most functional design to this new field. If a customer or an installation site needs something out of the ordinary, Adam will design it and make it work.
Adam has three adult children and one grandchild. He lives in west end Peterborough in a house that is an on-going project - growing and changing to meet his needs and the needs of his family.
In keeping with his interest in how things work, Adam has many hobbies. They include auto restoration and customizing, custom fabrication, boating and boats (primarily wooden), model trains and planes, and electro-mechanical electronics. He also enjoys reading - mostly technical and historical materials. He is also interested in just about anything about ships, planes, autos and trains.
Adam is a family man who believes in the value and importance of a family working together to achieve a common goal. He brings this belief, with his broad manufacturing and design experience, to his role with REAL Energy Alternatives. It's a business that dovetails perfectly with his interests and his desire to work for a better world.
